Hi guys, I have a 1966 40hp supersea horse. I have recently replaced ignition coils, points, impeller, plugs, etc. Problem is this- The throttle arm moves freely all the way from slow to fast until I put the flywheel on. I made sure the coils were flush to the bosses, points set at 0.020, properly seated impeller, and there is not anything else that I am aware of that would prevent free movement of the throttle arm under the armature plate. Torqued to 105 ft lbs per spec and the throttle advance arm becomes extremely difficult to move. I have a Seloc manual but can't find any other troubleshooting ideas to fix this. Dying to get back on the water, any help would be greatly appreciated.
