Sticking throttle

When I pull the throttle back up, as it approaches neutral it sticks and is hard to get into neutral. What is the remedy for this? Cables are fine.

Mine does the same thing....you wouldn't have a OMC would you? US marine shifter?

tapwater and minipulator, see the posting for shipper1us "OMC problem coming out of gear. You both have the same issue he does, bad ESA or improperly adjusted ESA shift system which following the Stuart instructions will solve.

Yeah but I do not have a Cobra drive. I have the older OMC 800. Also, I have no problem with it popping in or out of gear. Mine is a sticking problem. Got to really play around with it when pulling into the boat slip.
