stiff cables

I've got a 2000 Trophy 2302 and I would like lube the throttle and shifter cable but haven't figured out how to get the control or the cover panel off. any suggestions

Generally speakin', cables are Non-servicable parts that are replaced, not lubed...

the only thing that is available to grease is the linkage on the engine and the linkage on your shift/throttle module. when not in use for periode of time they become stiff, use the boat more or play with the shift/throttle weekly to keep it moving freely. I had to replace mine ( 2004 2302 Pro w/ Merc 150 Salt Water carbed motor )after the 4th yr, because I let her sit for about 10 months. there 18' cables and it took 2 of us too do the job, their cable straped onto the inside hull.
