I just received my new Stiletto Advantage II 14 1/4 x 19 prop via UPS a little while ago. It was a different part number than I ordered, and now has an XHS hub, just like a MerCruiser prop. It fit just fine, so I know it's the right one.

Does anyone know if EVERYTHING else is the same, such as rake, cup, blade area, quality, etc.? I just want to make a fair comparison, because I tried out a "regular" (non XHS) Advantage II 14 1/4 x 21 (which was a bit too much) and I want a fair comparison.

P.S. I looked on their website, but I don't think they have updated that site since 1990.

I agree with the above statement, the secretary knows more about props than I will ever know! Very helpful with the questions I had. Link below.......Irv

What's goin' on Laz? :D I'm going to go out on the water in 1/2 hour. I'm just waiting for the ol' lady to get ready. I will post results when I return. It's supposed to be 79 and sunny with 5mph winds, so I might be out ALL day. ;)

Darn, not even close.

I hit 43.5 on the GPS @ 5000 RPM. This is with 2 big adults, a dog, a full cooler and a full tank of gas. Water was smooth with maybe 6 inch waves. I strung it out for about 3 miles at 5 grand and backed 'er down. Laz, when your boat hit 48, the 3.0L must have been screaming.

2 things I really really liked about this prop:

#1 I took some pretty sharp and fast turns and no blow out, even with it trimmed up some. This is going to be great for water sports.

#2 Later in the day, I went and picked up 2 more adults and their 80 lb. dog and was still able to hit 41 MPH @ 4800 RPM. Last week I tried the same scenario with the Vengeance prop and only hit 39 MPH at 4400.

I put 80 miles on the boat today. It sure didn't feel like it. We were having a good ol' time. :D

Hmmm, oh well. . . . . She's a sensitive little bugger.
I just don't understand how the 21 maxed out at 4400 and the 19 went to 5000. Lowering 2 pitch = 600 RPM? . . . They may have changed something in the design.
Didn't something similar like this happen with the Hustler on your 175?

It's almost like we have different gearing. I haven't yet been able to get to 5000 even going out solo. The highest I have hit was 4900 at 46.5 (but I weigh 230). http://www.baylinerownersclub.org/forum/showpost.php?p=65753&postcount=56

We really gotta find a hotshot 20 pitch for yours :)

I think my boat is just weird or something, LOL. Maybe it's because we boat on a huge lake and we have to keep all kinds of crap in the boat.

I got to thinking again last night. With the people, the dogs, the toilet (heavy SOB), the extra anchor and extra battery, I had 1200 LBS.+ in the boat!! So, 41 MPH isn't to shabby under those conditions.

One time this summer, I'll go to a small lake and do like I did last year. Take EVERYTHING out of the boat and have my skinny buddy take 'er on a death run. That boat's gonna hit 50 one of these days or throw a piston right through the motor box cover, LOL. :D

Yeap. Keeping the Stiletto for sure. I lost just a couple MPH off the top, but most of the time I have the boat all loaded up, so I think it's a better choice to have it propped the way it's going to mostly be used, rather than just trying to set a top speed record.

I agree on the "top speed record." I'm starting to think when my neighbor went 48 it was BS. The best I could do was match the stock B-Max in top end. The Stiletto is just so much better in the low end and mid range that it makes it worth praising.
That, plus it looks so dang cool!
