still confused on type of plywood to use for transom.......

Boat is a '59 Starcraft alum 15 footer. Here is what I gathered so far:

Use ext. grade plywood NOT treated
Now what type of wood (pine,birtch,fir, ect) and what grade?

Yep, exterior plywood with waterproof glue. You are right, don't use treated as it will eat the aluminum. You can either use marine ply which is $$$$ but I like the auruco ply. Any type would be good as long as you seal it with epoxy or poly and glass.
