Great stuff Martien, you guys are really steaming ahead! Have you heard when the Glen-L forum will be up and running again?

Hello Graham (isn't?),

I don't know. I guess it will be after the holidays. For most of us it's a hobby, but I think that for the people of Glen-L it's a fulltime job. And I guess that they're also enjoying a well deserved holiday.

Martien.
The Riviera project

It's going to be a shame to put them in the water. Those boats are going to be so beautiful you may just want to leave them on their blocks and look at them. ;)

pretty to look at, hard to maintain.
MY jealous in one respect, but know how much time
it takes to keep it looking that way.

When they're sheathed in glass/epoxy they should be relatively easy to maintain, no more difficult than a GRP boat really.

Hello Graham (isn't?)
Yes it's me Martien, petrolhead is just one of my many alter-egos!
If you go to the Glen-L forum now you get some sort of sign-in page, presumably part of the new security, I'm not quite sure what to do with it though.

We all know that building is 90% of the fun, so why bother getting them in the water, I would rather keep them inside where it's warm and dry. :)

Like Petrolhead says, I don't think that the maintaince will be a problem.
They won't be in the water more than a few weeks a year, so I'm absolutely not afraid of them being rotten within a few years.

And if they do, it will be a nice project restoring them. :)

Regards,

Martien
The Riviera project
