still neding a switch

I have an old evinrude 25 and the old kill switch has been long died where did the wires from the old switch go? can I hook up some thing that will kill the boat if I fall out but with out drilling any holes on my points plate? if possible can I still use the hole from the original kill switch?

Not knowing your motor, but most all OBs I have seen operate with the ignition on, and the key grounds it off. The opposite of a car with the key powering it up. That is why the special key switch for boats. You can unplug the key switch and most motors run fine. Need to find what wire to kill, or what is power wire you could run through a switch also. Do not ground the power wire of course.
