I have the 93 15hp evinrude and I still have no spark. Let me get this straight If the two wires for the kill switch are making contact the switch is on and the motor won't run If the wires aren't connected the motor will run because the kill switch isn't on  What can cause this motor to have no fire at all other than kill switch reasons

Re: Still no spark

I can think of three things that would cause no fire Wallee....power pack, timeing sensor or charge coil.

Most likely it's the power pack that has cause your no spark condition.

Take a look at the FAQ's section on the main forum menu. There is an exceptional write up there on 9.9/15's that will help you along to getting your spark back. If your into doing the job yourself, an OEM manual is a must. Well worth the money to get.

I read this write-up and you should laminate it and put it somewhere on your boat. Excellent throuble shooting logic. Some other things to put in your "book" is specifics of the ignition and the fuel system and what to do if you submerge your motor. A transom lanyard with about 5 or 6 pages of information to keep you from the indignity of the oar or tow rope will come in handy for sure, whether you feel comfortable rebuilding things or not.
