I have recently been given a Johnson 4HP outboard that is in excellent condition. I think it is a 1971 model based on the Model #4W71D. The motor runs well at mid to high range RPM, but I am having problems getting it to idle. Since there is no neutral on this engine, it is necessary to have it run well at idle. Can anyone tell me what I have to do with the mixture control for low speed to make it run smoothly at low RPM? <br /><br />I would also like to get a repair manual for this motor if one is still available. <br /><br />Thanks, Jim
