I've replaced both solenoids, bench tested and everything seems fine. Tested for continuity and activation from the throttle switches to the male plug that connects to the trim motor. I've arrived at the conclusion that the likely reason my "up" trim function is not working is a faulty female plug on the unit itself.
If you refer to the alpha one outdrive pdf on page 5A-34, the wiring diagram, what I need is the rubber three-prong female plug with the green/white, blue/white, and red wires that run to the solenoids. The red wire has a fuse which I also checked.
Can anyone tell me where I can order this unit, I believe it is an application specific-part that cant be just picked up in an auto store.
Thanks, this has been a real headache for me. I'd like to get this bad boy into the water before Labor Day
Oh, and it's the type with the plastic reservoir.
