I have purchased a used 2004 195lr Stingray. This is is in mint condition with only 87 hours of use. It has a 195hp Volvo Penta SX motor. I has plenty of hp for skiing of tubing. However the boat does porpose alot. This is when two or more in the boat, espacially with there is no one is in the bow. I have the trim in the fully down pushing the bow into the water. It still porpuses. I have looked at hydrofoils and trim tabs. I have talked to Nauticus, and they recommed the Sport Tab version of tabs, not the Smart tabs due to the transom configuation. The Smart tabs require 10 inches space from the motor. So he said sport tabs should be ok. A local Stingray dealer said he was surprised to he of my problem, but did mention the new 09 Stingrays now come with trim tabs. Have any Stingray owners have the same problem?
