Which do you all think is the better brand? I am looking at two '88 boats. the Glasstream I posted about three weeks ago, 21ft, 400hp, red. The Stingray is 22', 320hp, with EFI, and an Alpha drive (the mech says it is a special racing drive that you can't use muffs on) and a padded bow with a deck hatch. The only problem I have is that the dealer with the Glasstream will let me try it out and give me a one year 50/50 warranty. The dealer with the Stingray will only start it for me in a tank and give me a 100% warranty for only seven days. Is this reasonable?
Both dealers say that they want a long term relationship with their customers and that they would never screw one of us because we will be right back to yell at them.

Does anyone have an older Stingray 220 or a 5.7EFI motor with Alpha drive? I wonder if it really matters or if the Bravo would be more appropriate for 320hp?

if the dealer won't let you test drive, run from him. even when buying a new boat you should have a test drive, before accepting delivery., and giving payment. easiest way to get items corrected. when you have his money.
