Re: stole my taillight in hospital parking lot!
So Sorry to hear! Those SOB's! It's like what will they come up with next?, I have a few stories I have to put out there. I remember yrs ago when they were stealing Cadillac chrome bumpers, at the time I owned an 81' Caddy Eldorado (mock ragtop) 4.2 V6, lucky for me they stole the whole car instead! It was so pretty, and ran great, but an electrical nightmare from the day I bought it used. They actually did me a favor, insurance paid.
Talk about tailights, I picked a up a clean used 75' Cordoba for the ex-wife before the Caddy (a nice car, but a gas hog) anyway, I didn't have it very long, one time I pulled out of a store parking lot quickly, onto a highway, hit a few small bumps, and the tailight popped out? by the time I heard it, I also heard the sound of the car behind me running over it, and it happened to be a cop car!

I never flinched, just kept going the few miles to home, only to find out these lenses were only glued in
Finally many, years ago on the day my eldest son was born, my car an old 1960 ratty Chevy Biscayne 6cyl stick coupe, was stolen from the hospital lot!

partly my fault because I used to drive it without the key, yrs ago you could do that, the ignition switch was like a knob with a slot in it for the key, but I had it on "Off" not "Lock". This was my 2nd trip to the hospital that day, and I was quite shot down (no sleep), when I called the cops, I wasn't sure if the car was stolen, or if I just couldn't remember where I parked it! The cop thought I was nuts! funny now, but not back then, they picked up the car awhile later on, driven on the parkway by a young joyrider, who almost totaled it! luckily it was none the worse for wear, and neither was I
Truth is stranger then fiction sometimes, only an old guy like me would have these stories.
