i work at a hospital..the 4-12 shift...when i came home tonight i realize some bas*ard stole the rear light assembly out of my toyota tacoma....honestly i was not so upset because when i was 17 i broke the front light assembly on my parents car...(crazy gas pump came outta nowhere)..so i went to the mall and found the same car and go my newpart!!! other wise it would have been a beating by dad...not so much a physical thing but not worth it..i guess a karma thing...but this bastard removed the screws and then apparently just yanked on the thing..theres one plug hanging out and then some frayed wires....i had installed a wiring harness for the trailer that hooked up in between the tail light and the oem wires....now i dont know whats where...oh well...i just wanted to vent...at least when i did it the person just had to replace the housing....not all the wires and bulbs....damn

At least you all didn't have the fab like we had down here in Bama people were stealing the tail gates off the back of these F-150s down here. Sorry to hear about the theft.

P.S. You still have one more in there.

yeah tail gates are very valuable, they rust out at the bottom or are so bent they look bad or won't stay closed.

So Sorry to hear! Those SOB's! It's like what will they come up with next?, I have a few stories I have to put out there. I remember yrs ago when they were stealing Cadillac chrome bumpers, at the time I owned an 81' Caddy Eldorado (mock ragtop) 4.2 V6, lucky for me they stole the whole car instead! It was so pretty, and ran great, but an electrical nightmare from the day I bought it used. They actually did me a favor, insurance paid.

Talk about tailights, I picked a up a clean used 75' Cordoba for the ex-wife before the Caddy (a nice car, but a gas hog) anyway, I didn't have it very long, one time I pulled out of a store parking lot quickly, onto a highway, hit a few small bumps, and the tailight popped out? by the time I heard it, I also heard the sound of the car behind me running over it, and it happened to be a cop car! I never flinched, just kept going the few miles to home, only to find out these lenses were only glued in

Finally many, years ago on the day my eldest son was born, my car an old 1960 ratty Chevy Biscayne 6cyl stick coupe, was stolen from the hospital lot! partly my fault because I used to drive it without the key, yrs ago you could do that, the ignition switch was like a knob with a slot in it for the key, but I had it on "Off" not "Lock". This was my 2nd trip to the hospital that day, and I was quite shot down (no sleep), when I called the cops, I wasn't sure if the car was stolen, or if I just couldn't remember where I parked it! The cop thought I was nuts! funny now, but not back then, they picked up the car awhile later on, driven on the parkway by a young joyrider, who almost totaled it! luckily it was none the worse for wear, and neither was I

Truth is stranger then fiction sometimes, only an old guy like me would have these stories.

What I really hate is when some cheap pri-- siphons gas outta my truck and throws away the gas cap.

They like to steal the doors off Jeep Wranglers and the 3rd seat out of Suburbans and Tahoes out our way.

Re: stole my taillight in hospital parking lot!

Back in the mid 90's my brother had his ford Ranger truck stolen right out his yard. I believe they found it abandoned later on somewhere around were near where he lived. But to come up and steal a car out of somebodies yard takes allot of guts. The same truck (if I'm not mistaken) a couple of years later my brother and I launched the boat out in what looked like an abandoned boat ramp it was so far out in the woods but it was a public boat ramp. Anyhow we launched the boat went out for a couple of hours or more, came back went to load the boat and he seen that his Ranger truck was broken into from the rear sliding glass window. They got his CD player and CDs and a few other things. Instead of calling the police, my brother didn't have access to a phone right where we were we drove down to the police station. Of course nothing ever came of it, just wasted our time never got a thing back. Same brother goes out on his anniversary dinner out of town, thief broke the back window out of his 2002 Grand am, he had his cell phone stolen, 22 pistol stolen, a few other things, and my sister n law's best picture of her deceased mother gone. Goes to show you that thieves don't care what they take. I have never stolen anything myself.

This story would be longer if I added what has been stolen from me but I won't post my experience, the list would go on and on. Some of my stuff came up stolen from "friends".
