Re: stolen outbords

As the 460 package is obsolete with many important parts NLA, might be better off lookin at repower options...

Re: stolen outdrives

Can't help yopu with the outdrives, but just wondering if you reported the theft to the police and your insurance company? If they were stolen off your boat while it was on your driveway, your homeowner's policy might cover it. Unfortunately, drives can be removed by a pro in less than 5 minutes, which is one reason why it's recommended that they be removed off-season for storage indoors. Good luck with your search for replacements. Hy

Howdy,

You must have a 261

Cool boat!! I would LOVE to have one but I'm glad I don't!!

You have an 88 model "Dog-Clutch" King Cobra. A couple of years ago I sold my King CObra drive for $1400 and the person that bought it considered himself lucky that he found 1 at all.

The 91 model cone clutch drives will not work with an older model unless you can also get the gimbal/transom mounts and inner transom plate.

The 91 cone clutch drive is also a rather rare unit too.

Your couplers are not available and your exhaust manifolds are pretty much 2 to 3 times what similar manifolds would be for the newer 454.

You might consider a repower.

Sorry about that!
