STOP floor Rot

I have a 1975 ss195 Sickcraft and the floor is solid, except where the battery sits in the engine hatch is starting to get a little soft. Is there a coating that I can apply so the rot doesn't get worse?

Git-Rot, antifreeze, boric acid, etc.... Just do a search, there is a lot more to it than I could put in one post.

But if it's soft, it's gone already. It's not like it'll harden up to like new once the fungus is killed off.
