I have a 1978 Model 200 20HP Mercury Outboard and it does not have a stop switch, it has been removed. For safety reasons I'd like to install a new switch. I have purchased an Attwood switch that can be installed ?normally open? or ?normally closed? contacts. Which connections on the switch should I connect ?NO? or ?NC? and where should I connect the leads to? Should one lead goes to ground and the other to??? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Coil, you're grounding out the fire.
