stored without boat cover

I have a boat that I recently baught it's a 2000 four winns with an open bow good boat but it was stored without a cover and was stored under a tree after cleaning with basic soap and water there is still a brownish stain on the top surfaces of most of the white vinyl interior. It seems to come off somewhat with some serious scrubbing. I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for some heavy duty vinyl cleaner and any kind of method of cleaning white vinyl without damaging and any percautions on what type of cleaning agents NOT to use????

Common mildew remover and 303 Aerospace Protectant available @ most auto. supply stores. Wax the hull for further protection before you store it for the winter.

Hope they left the plug out!<br />Does it have the full fiberglass liner or wood floors covered with carpet? <br />You might want to lift up the gas tank cover to air out the bilge.<br />When you store it make sure you use a vented/breathable cover (Sunbrella is expensive but breathes well) and use the moisture absorber buckets in the interior. I have done this in a humid climate and have not had any mildew the past 4 seasons I have had my old 88 FW.

Amazing isn’t it? That some people will purchase a boat and store it outside uncovered. I see it quite a bit and when I ask them the response is always about the same " they are made for the water so rain wont hurt a boat"

I don't know what's in that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but it worked wonders on my vinyl. I've not tried anything else for comparison, but it looked great afterwards.

It's a material that breaks down into very small particles in use. These particles get into the grain of the vinyl and clean where rags, etc. can not. I have had great sucess with it.<br /><br />At one time there was a website explaining it but I can no longer find it.

Use bleach only as a last resort as it can damage the vinyl and the thread the vinyl is sewn with.<br /><br />Mr. Clean Magic Eraser has worked well for me on many stains including well aged bird droppings. Vinyl cleaners may help. Often, once you have done the best you can with a stain, a few weeks exposed to the sun will take care of the remaining stain.
