Storing motor for long term?

I picked up a good running 1990 115hp Evinrude a few weeks ago, the boat it's on is junk, but was in running condition with a recently overhauled engine. I bought this motor for a current project I'm working on but won't be ready to use the motor for at least two years.
What do I need to do to store this so I won't have to spend a bundle on it when it's needed?
I bought the fogging spray for the cylinders but I'm worried about the fuel system and the VRO pump. I want to try to avoid having to rebuild the carbs down the road since they were all just done in the spring.
I also would like to disable the VRO and run premix on this motor but am not 100% sure what to disconnect or change. The current pump works fine, and I was able to test run the boat it was on for several hours so I do know what is there now does work as it should.
If I do not disable the VRO, what has to be done to purge out any air from the oil line before start up? On the old boat, the tank was up under the dash, with a primer bulb at the tank, and about 14' of oil line running back to the motor. All that length of oil line just seems like potential trouble to me?

Re: Storing motor for long term?

Since the motor still runs, I was hoping to leave the existing pump for now. I see the oil line and plugged that, do I have to do anything to the pump or lines other than disconnect the alarm wire?
I saw the section in the sticky section about VRO to Premix but it don't say what to do with the old inlet side of the pump? Do I plug it or leave it open?

I've already fogged the cylinders, changed the lower unit oil, and greased up the prop shaft. I also sprayed the whole engine down under the hood real well with light oil. My concern is what to do about the carbs, do these have a drain on the carbs? Is it best to drain the carbs or flood the motor with premix heavy with oil to try and keep the carbs lubed up?
It'll be stored on a stand covered up in the garage but the garage is somewhat damp at times being unheated and all concrete. I had a driveshaft on a former V4 rust up and both seize in the power head and seize in the lower unit at the top bearing. It took near complete dis assembly to get it apart.
