I have to replace two large arched windows on my home that Gustav damaged. I understand that there are triple paned, steel framed windows designed to take hurricane force winds. Any of you Florida guys know anything about them. Price per square foot and lead times would be helpful. Also, anyone use the fabric hurricane coverings on their windows?

Not sure about the prices , brands and specs, but the ones you want are the ones that are left standing when the hurricane sucks away the rest of your house.:p;):D

Joking aside. I am sorry about your weather trevails. You guys are pretty tough down there to deal with that sort of thing. I can't even begin to imagine.

I found three manufacturers that sell storm rated windows in my area; Anderson, Gentek and Gorell. Can anyone comment on their quality and perfomance?
