Storm trashed my canvas, long shot question on someone having a template ?

Was stuck from the flights getting canceled from Sandy, buddy pulled the boat didn't drop the canvas.Not repairable was old. Minor issue compared to a lot of people so it doesn't bug me.

Total long shot here, Wellcraft Excel 26SE 1996, not supported anymore.I think the Martinique without a arch is the same as well.

Anybody out their ever had one made and has template etc. ? Or has one they want to sell etc? Someone ,somewhere must have had these made for an Excel at some point? It is a full enclosure so my sides etc are ok. Don't have the money to have a new one fitted etc.

Also if I did find something used that fit the boat Can you have zippers sewn on later for the side glass etc? Am I trying to hard to jerry rig this whole thing? I'm just used to doing my own work and this one is stumping me.Just looking for some out of the box ideas, thanks !

If so, you Have the template....

buyin' used canvas is akin to buyin' used brake shoes for yer car...

You can sew, 'n patch the remains, or drag it to an upholstery shop, 'n they can build a new 1...
Even without remains of the old 1, Custom Canvas ain't no big deal,... it's how it's done...
Expensive, but no big deal...

True, I assume having them template the old one even in its condition would work. Might be the route to go. It is the expensive part that I don't like. I gots more elbow grease than cash. :joyous:

Ayuh,... All it takes is a sewin' machine, 'n abit of Time....

I use these guys for materials, fittings, 'n tools...

Excellent resource , thank you. Can you get away with a vinyl needle in a regular machine? I've been looking into this route you bring up. Any suggestions on that front? Thanks again.
