I've got a 1978 70hp johnson seahorse....due to funds, limited time, etc, my boat has sat in the driveway for more than 3 months (I've cried enough over that, no need for others to do it for me, i assure you lol) Finally I've decided the summer is coming to an end in the next couple months, and will be launchin her on her "2nd" maiden voyage in the morning. [first got her in the water but shift was reversed....look at my posts if you're intereseted] battery had enough juice to make the motor click, so i thought it would be a great time to see how much it would take to fire it up off the reserve pull cord. Set the throttle to a high idle, held the choke on, and one pull, fired to life. Nice to know if i'm stuck with a dead battery after lounging all day. Anyone else pull start for the "just in case" scenario to see how easy/difficult or if you can?
