Hi everyone I got my first project boat.
It’s 1984 stott craft 142 bass boat made of fiberglass,
I’m doing transom rebuild so I cut the back and took all the rotten leftover wood out.
I attached a picture but my transom isn’t straight it have a small curve as a triangle shape.
Can I cut the inner skin and put fiberglass flat and from inside the boat to put fiberglass to patch it to be straight inner skin.
Any other advice will be welcome.
Hope i posted in the right place of the form.

you should have done all your patch work on the inside. working on the outside is 100x harder

Floor feels solid to me
If the deck feels spongy at all, then it calls the stringers into question…. And a solid deck with a rotten transom screams the possibility of a deck- over band aid which should then be investigated.. boats rot from the bottom up. Your boat will also be full of foam which may even make it feel structurally okay. IE rotten wood supported by the foam. And the foam is probably water logged.

Transom was rotten middle mostly side was not as bad but I broke it off.
Planing on making a cut in the front to check floor but it feel solid old owner hit the motor and crack the transom with the two bolt clamps so water got in there.

Actually the transom wood rotted years ago allowing the transom to crack when the motor was hit because there was no strength left

A good transom would literally shear off the lower unit before taking any damage

Transoms rot from the bottom up, starting near the drain
