My step grandpa is 79 years old in great shape he still goes for jogs and doesn't know how to swim. on top of that has a 24' cobalt bowrider and he has owned boats since he was 31 and cant swim. The funny thing is him trying to give us ski lessons when we were kids "why dont you come in here and show us how to do it".

After a cheeky comment like that, i would say that your grandpa is strange if he had not left you to soak in the lake for a spell. :D:D
It seems to me that you've got a real cool grandpa.

Re: Strange Grandpa

My grandpa got me startred in boats. I inherited his beloved "Ruby". Named after my grandma. She was a wooden Criss Craft, never knew the year. I was only 12, and the boat sat on the trailer until a neighbor offered to buy it.

My grandpa never knew how to swim. He was in that boat just about every day all spring and summer long.

I was U.S. Navy for almost 4 out of 12 years before I learned to swim.
