I have a 6hp sea horse the model number is:CD -24D
I would appreciate if I could get info on it.
I saw a list of codes around the age of my engine but none seem to be the same, does anyone know why?

----------
Wes

Re: strange model number

thanks guys!
I know it is annoying but I saw the engine and mine is all white and the top cover is white in the whole centre and black on the sides with a 6 at the corner of it. I saw in one conversation about someone describing their engine and it sounded quite similar to mine. the only thing similar is in the specs on one part of that site it says that the standard shaft is 15" and the long is 20", mine is a long shaft. I have seen a couple of similar sites that have a list of codes for 6hp's. They are around the same year but they were totally different. I am over in Ireland (Europe) and I bought the engine in wales in the uk at a jumble sale. could there be adifferent set of codes for the engines over here?

----------
Wes

Re: strange model number

By the way it is definitly CD- 24D. I had a look and there isn't any evidence of the code being changed or anything. This seems wierd but I just don't get it
