Stringer ball gear replacement help

I've started to replace my ball gears. Had to take the upper assembly to my mechanic for help removing the badly corroded tetaining nut, biggest impact wrench and heat got it off (thankfully). After reading in the manual that the driveshaft in the intermediate housing may require removal of the engine, I decided to just remove the ball gear instead of removing the whole assembly. The manual mentioned to mark the ball gears before removal to ensure proper gear mesh, I forgot to do this, what can I do to reassemble them properly? Also, I mangled the plastic shims ( two green), and the metal shim on the int housing, any idea for replacements? Thanks in advance

Re: Stringer ball gear replacement help

If you're putting in new ball gears they don't have to be marked. You'll probably find the correct shims in a parts manual.
