Fellow Stringer Drive owners,

Has anyone ever replaced the microswitches inside the switch/control assembly? Mine failed and I've been using an external switch, since I'm the only person that ever operates my rig this has been okay, but it is unconventional. The prices I've seen on the replacement switch/control assembly are outrageous.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Are you refering to the switch inside the shifter for the electric shift stringer? I've run across a few on @bay that were resonable...

pics would help too! I like pics!

I actually keep an eye on CL too for donor parts. I've collected a nice little "stash" over the last year of stuff that I'll have to replace at some point for rather little money. Seems that folks on eBay have an idea of what they have and sell it trying to make a profit (which is fine). CL tends to have folks just wanting to get rid of stuff ... not really knowing that the part would sell for $200 on eBay.

Thanks South Danforth and Southkogs, I did come across a complete remote shift assembly including the switch for less than $100 including shipping. It's on the way...
