Stringer impeller replacement, use old key or replace?

I've removed the water pump housing and have a new replacement kit. Manual says to replace impeller key with a new one. Kit did not include a new one. Can I use the old one? Also, manual says to disassemble swival housing for water pickup inspection, is this necassary? Lower unit seems to be sealed well, and I,d rather not open any more can of worms....

if it isn't damaged or overly worn, you can reuse it. You can brake clean the area and loctite it into place. I like the green loctite (bearing mount) for that.
