Hey Gang, I've been reading alot of the information yall have been posting on stringer repair, lots of good stuff out there, gotta hand it to you guys! Recently I purchased A 17 ft 1974 trihull Crestliner, lime green, pretty ugly but it has potential, I think I'll end up calling it the slime. Anyway as we all know with older boats there can be complications.....in this case we have A rotton floor. I could see the stringers and they are fiberglassed in totally except the tops of the them which do show exposed wood. Only in a few places on the stringers does it seemed to be soft, will I need to replace the whole stringer?? Will the tops of the stringers need to be coverd with fiberglass? What are my options?

And for the floor, I was thinking on putting down 3/4 inch plywood......... Can I just bolt the floor board down to the stringers or are there any special techniques that need to be performed? I'm new at making major boat repairs as you can tell. Any comments or suggestions??? Thanks!
