Attempting to repair or replace stringers, and have many questions. Number one, I have ripped up the floor and foam out of boat, but towards the back and front of boat, it's sandwiched between the top and bottom half of boat. Please see pictures. How do I get access to these area's, do I need to cut these out? Number two, when I go to put the foam back, how do I put it in and exactly how much do I add?

Thanks in advance

Re: Stringer repair

I just got done playing with a&b foam and I have some advice....mix in small amounts until you get used to using iit, and use a new container to mix & pour each time.

On boats of that style you may have to remove the rub rail and other stuff holding it toghter and sepperate the upper and lower hull :(

Re: Stringer repair

IT will be a littel harder than that it depends on how well they built the boat

But thats the general idea

Re: Stringer repair

There ia a slight chance that the portion of stringers in the bow area may be ok. I say that because If the boat was trailered, it was most likely tilted with the bow upwards for drainage. Right? The majority of water is in the back half of the boat. The transom area I'm sure you'll have to take care of, (Mabey the transom itself) you'll probabably want to check that area out good, If you find that the stringers by the bow a ok, then you can sister them together, and glass, thats if you can get to them. good luck!
