Stringers - How much FG is enough?

Happy Spring All,
My Doral Runabout project is back in gear now that the snow around the shed is gone! ( http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=280191 )

I have just put in the two main stringers. Each stringer is bedded in PL. I coated them completely with 2 coats of Epoxy, then used 6" FG Tape/Epoxy to tab both sides of each stringer to the bottom hull. Another band of 6" tape went over the top of each stringer, wrapping down toward the base of the stringer, overlapping the top of the hull/stringer tab FG.

Is this enough or should I add another layer? Seems rock hard to me....

Thanks

PL is an adhesive. Most people that or a mix of epoxy and some sort of thickener (talc, microbeads, CSM, etc).

PL is short for polysulfide ;)

I skimmed the other thread and you mentioned 10oz cloth, 2 layers of that would work and you could have layed them both at the same time to save time and epoxy.
