Hello all, I picked up an older 14’ Springbok aluminum hull that’ll serve my intended fishing needs perfectly. Thing is the middle and front bench seats I’m wanting to remove them and relocate the more deep part way up the hull to give me more leg room towards the back.

I removed the the top of the middle bench which reveals this seat is art of the structural integrity of this little hull. There are no reinforcing ribs on the floor section where this middle seat is.

I’m wondering what my best options might be for replacing the factory peened rivets because once I drill the old rivets out and relocate this structural seat there’ll be holes left in the hull.

Im wondering if these blind hole pop rivets will one be strong enough and not intrusive (either out the bottom to slide over carpeted trailer bunks amd also walking/stepping on them inside the boat... how are they going to be for sealing water out??

Hoping an appropriate pop rivet will do the job without having to find and install swedged rivets

your knowledge will truly be appreciated, Thank you.
