im helping a friend replace his impeller. i did mine just the other day and it came off with a little persuasion. his however, is really stuck. we cant get it off with a pry bar from the bottom (one on either side). cant get it off with channel locks. i even tried chucking the impeller in a vice and hitting the shaft through the brass collar with a hammer (i had a piece of wood on the end of the shaft) and it still didnt budge at all. Any suggestions? i was thinking maybe carefully cut it off with a dremel, but im worried about nicking the shaft. Any suggestions? thanks for the input guys. i cant express how helpful this site is.
