I got ahold of a 1970 60hp Johnson that had been sitting for 15 years outdoors. To make s long story short, I got it free and running and now the lower unit is stuck I broke of 2 side bolts and 2 came out and the center bolt spins and doesnt come out. The lower unit will not budge I dont know what to do. Any suggestions guys?

OMC.I assume the center bolt your are speaking of is the one that retains the trim tab.If so there is one more bolt in a recess area under the trim tab that needs to be removed as well. The bolt that you refer to sounds to be stripped.Try gripping with a pair of vise grips and turn while holding downward pressure and see if the threads will catch enough to continue removal. You'll also need to disconnect the shift rod.Good luck

If you have enough of the broken side bolts left to get a visegrip on, heat the bolt with a propane torch first, let it cool, and then use the visegrips to ease it out.
