I have a shredded lower drive unit impeller that does not want to be removed. Is there an easy way to remove it?

How long have you left it since you last changed it.

Worse case, using a dremmel, you remove the rubber and score the impeller sleave enough to split it. Then you can remove without damaging the shaft

I have had the boat a little over a year and was having an overheating problem. How do I identify which water pump I have? All I can find is a serial number on the outdrive.

Impeller was removed. number on pump housing is 46-96148. Internet shows this number followed by a letter and/ or number. Several different styles available. How do I match up these with mine?
