Stuck on step one outdrive removal-speedo cable

Ok, where is this thing? I'm in the process of replacing myshifter cable, and need to take the outdrive off to do it. I cant find a picture of what or where the speedo cable clip looks like, and frankly I don't know where to look.
I'm pretty sure I can remove the hydro cylinders and bolts after that just don't want something breaking off because I forgot a step. Thanks. Alpha one and it's the earlier model (I think) 1987 wellcraft w/305.

An Alpha I doesn't have a speedometer hose hooked to the drive. That's on Gen II outdrives only.
Your best instructions would be the service manual. Head up to the Adults only sticky and download manual #6

Hey thanks! I called my father who has some boating experience, he described it to me and you're right of course, it actually sits outside of the outdrive and extends below the hull. Measures speed by water pressure or some craziness like a barometer; did not know that :)

Step one is complete lol
