Re: Stuck rings

Get a bucket and mix up some ATF and Acetone 50/50 in it. Put your pistons in it and let them soak for a week or so. Occasionly give the rings a light tap with the handle of a screw driver. PATIENCE is the key here.

Re: Stuck rings

Hopefully they free up, but you may want to replace them regardless depending on their condition, especially since you already have the pistons removed. Do not want them breaking inside the cylinder, then you are into a whole other ball game.

I think I would re-ring as well...since you've got her opened up!

I would be more worried about damaging the piston while removing the rings and cleaning the grooves

Re: Stuck rings

Yep, boobie has the best advice here. Soak the pistons for a week or so, but go ahead and replace the rings with new, once you get the old ones out.
