Is it normal for a 2-stroke 9.9 to stumble right above the very lowest idle setting? I can idle just fine at the very lowest idle speed but as I throttle up the motor stumbles briefly (somewhat like a soft backfire) then as I continue to throttle up it's fine. Same thing occurs as you are throttling down.
If I hold the throttle at that point it will stumble then rev up slightly, stumble, rev up and so on. Is this possibly the point where the slow idle jet kicks out and the main jet is kicking in?
It seems to run fine other than that. It was cooler (50-55 degrees out) the day this occurred.
Cleaned carb and made adjustments previously.
Thank you.
