Stumped, 1967 Johnson 60 HP 4 Cylinder

I am not getting fuel to the Carbs. I repaced Fuel Pump with a fuel pump kit, all new lines new gas tank, new primer pump with new conectors on both ends.My Motor has a sedament bowl with filter,when i prime it the the pump gets hard and i can see fuel in bowl, I will crank but no start,when i disconnect the line from the carbs it will start right up depending how much fuel i put in manually up top. I put the line from the carbs in a cup and tryed to crank it and it astarted right up but just a trickle of fuel came out of the line while it was running. With the line disconnected from the carbs when i pump the prime bulb nothing comes out, should it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and thank you!

Hi Patty....<br /><br />Did you install the primer bulb with the arrow pointing to the engine?

Yes the primer bulb is in the right direction.

Patty..... Temporarily disconnect the fuel line that goes "TO" the fuel pump. Pump the fuel primer bulb..... fuel should shoot out of there.<br /><br />If it does, but does not come out the hose that leads to the carb, either that hose to the carb is clogged with something or you have the fuel pump assembled incorrectly...... or you have the hoses attached to the fuel pump incorrectly<br /><br />Joe (30+ Years With OMC)

Could one of you folks with a 1967 Johnson 60 please send me a picture of the steering linkage where it attatches to the motor. I just bought one and the linkage is gone. I have half the bracket but not the stuff to connect it to a cable. Thanks mocrouchs@vci.net
