Ok, I have been using iboats for the past couple of weeks and you guys have helped me get my motor in good working order. I almost have everything ready to go except for this latest issue. After changing trigger, stator, and other parts I reconnected the shift and throttle cables to the motor.

First Issue, Throttle seems to idle too high while in neutral. I feel like I can probably resolve this issue by adjusting the screws on the throttle arm, but wanted to check and see if this is the proper way to do this. Any help on adjusting throttle idle speed is appreciated.

Second Issue, and much more annoying, is the shift cable. when I hooked it back up I notice that the shifter is not going into reverse. It will go into neutral and forward but when i try and shift into reverse there is no movement on the shift cable. I removed the shift cable and shifted the gears at the motor manually by hand and confirmed that all gears are working fine on the motor. I am sure the issue is from the cable back to the remote control. Again, any help or guidance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

You are sure that you have the shift cable connected to the shifter on the engine? With both cables removed from the engine operate the shifter and the shift cable will be the one which moves first.
