Stumped on which year 90

Boat I bought supposedly came with a 1999 Evinrude 90 SPL according to the seller (and engine cover). Spark plugs in there now (QL77JC4) show up on older 90hp models not late 90's. The engine ID tag is unreadable. Is there a place a can find some numbers to see what I have before I put the wrong plugs in?

Look as closely as you can at the damaged ID plate and let us know what can be read. Also, look on the powerhead for a core plug (looks like a quarter sized freeze out plug) that may have both the model & Serial number on it.

Nothing on ID plate is readable. There is a number G4234272..but I can't find anything that matches that on search.

Unfortunately there's no way I can find anything with that number. The hood paint scheme is never duplicated so if you can post some pictures of the hood, I'm sure that some member here will be able to identify that item.

Call BRP customer service at 1-262-884-5993 and give them that #. They have helped me before.
