I recently rebuilt the carbs on my 96 Johnson 88spl. When I start the motor for the first time after putting the boat in the water, it firs right up and shifts into gear like normal. If I run the motor at lower speeds it will restart and run fine all day. The problem is if I run it WOT for any distance at all it skill run great until I turn off the motor. At that it is hard to restart, throttle must be very advanced to start the motor and it dies before I can shift it back to idle and then forward into gear. It can be done but throttle must be moved to idle and then into forward gear very quickly or it dies. Any advice?
