Ok, just wondering if the VRO warning system system utilizes the boats horn or is there a oil tank/engine alarm somewhere. Sorry, I have no manual with my new to me 87 larson 120 evinrude. The existing boat horn does not work.

Cheers

;)Your engine control (throttle and shift) will have the horn or buzzer internal, or some independent noisemaker, I'd think. See if you can unhook the sender, and listen?

When you power up the ignition, do you get a noise like a horn, alarm, chirp, or something? That's be a test of the alarm. If you get no sound, perhaps your alarm is supposed to sound your horn. If you do get a sound, and your horn is broken, you know it's not your horn that is the alarm.
