Re: Sturgis

yea look up when the huelette wyoming rally is happening... its a nice couple hour jaunt over from sturgis and is happening on 1 wednesday during the sturgis rally. Its one day is better than 2 weeks in sturgis... they have t-shirts that say exactly that and I'd have to concur. Its like the old days at sturgis. Sturgis is fun but wayyyyy to much law enforcement and traffic now. I was there the year 2000. Also about a mile beyond buffalo chips heading out of town there's a left turn to a huge campground. They all cost a bunch of money but there's signs to a state park campground thats like 10 bucks a night that noone goes to because you have to ride about 1/2 mile down a loose gravel road to get to it. No showers but there is a small lake bout 1/4 mile away you can bath in and the usual state park permanent porta potty things. If gravel doesnt bother you on a bike there's about a 4 mile ride that will get you right into the back side of sturgis with no traffic, or you can ride the highway in while your clutch hand is in pain from sitting in the stop and go bike traffic. Its fun but check out Huelette... Its 3 times the fun.

Re: Sturgis

I was in Custer when the Sturgis Rally was in full swing a few years back, pjc.

What great people having a great time! Some gorgeous bikes, too.

I have thought about going back at that time of year just to enjoy spectating. :)
