I am pretty sure this is what happened. I have twin 1996-97 ocean pro 225's I have been in the 3500rpm break in mode on the starboard motor. So I am doing about 15 knots and all of a sudden, My port motor starts knocking like crazy. I quickly realized I mist be overheating or something so I idled it, saw that there was not water pressure and shut down. I got to my fishing spot and fished. when I started it again I had a problem over 2500 (overheating) but then I had great water pressure and she ran fine.
I later checked to for blown head gaskets and realized that I had some seepage from both heads.
I guess I am gonna change the head gaskets, flush it out and the therostats.
Is there anything else I can do??? She runs great now for a higher hour motor.?!?!?
Thanks for any input

i would do the impeller also, if it did not get water, it will be weak.

You might want to plane the heads too. If you truly overheated it's likely they warped and blew.
