It's funny because this happens every year. I buy "project" boats and flip them so I always have my eyes open and scan the various listings and make offers on ones I think are worth the work to restore.
As you can imagine my offers get turned down a lot. It goes with the territory. People are just certain their "project" is still worth nearly book value and the trailer is almost always worth the asking price.
D) Of course they don't sell and the owners run the ads over and over.
Then, when they get to the end of the summer I get emails and phone calls from them saying maybe my offer wasn't so horrible after all, do I still want it. In most cases the answer is no because I have bought other projects.
You would be amazed at how many get angry when I tell them that or lower my offer further because I don't realy need another project to winterize store all winter.
