i would like to summerize the repairs i done on my merc 850.1,replaced all fuel lines.2,installed inline fuel filter w/new mercury primer bulb,3,rebuilt fuel pump,4,performed compression test which was a little low so i squirted some wd-40 in each cyl and let it set for a day and retested it and it improved by 10-15lbs. so 5,installed new ngk buhw sparkplugs.6,replaced fuel guage sender,7,changed lower unit oil,8,tested motor in water at nearby river to see water pump work, works perfect.[live in apartment its difficult to use water hose and motor ears], 9,repaired 2 bad wires under cowl ,10,scrubbed boat and applied turtle wax and it looks like new!ready for the water!,11repaired bad wires on factory am/fm cassette w/4 factory speakers amazingly sounds pretty good.the original horn even works.my 14 year old daughter found the near mint snap on bow cover in the front storage compartment. i'm just so happy! ant gratefull for everyones help, travis
