I don't know if this has been covered before but here goes. I purchased a boat this spring and the owner had just got the swim pad rebuilt. Well it is warped on 2 corners. They are coming up. I guess they did not use marine plywood. Does anyone know how I can fix this. I thought about screwing a 2x4 underneath the pad. Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Re: Sun Pad Warped

Even if he used marine plywood it would warp if not properly installed and supported. You should rebuild it with using one of the newer composite boards that will not warp, splinter, or fade. You don't want to get splinters from the swim platform. Starboard is one of the names that I know of, but I'm sure there are many others.

This is the pad over top the engine compartment that you lay on. Not the swim platform.

Re: Sun Pad Warped

Sorry I read sun pad and it registered swim platform. A Baja I used to have had aluminum braces under the sun pad to reduce warping. Don't know if you have room for this or not.
