Hey all.
I have an 18 foot sunbird with a 150 mariner 2 stroke. It stears so easy at any pitch when sitting idle. Sometimes and most of the time, under hard power it stears very hard both ways, let off the throttle and it steals easier again.
The cable and slide tube are greased well and all seems free.
What could cause this ?
Any help appreciated .

Thank you

Trim tab adjustmemt if it pulls to one side or the other when you let the wheel go.

If it is imply hard to turn when under load you probably have some binding or corrosion or something going on in the mid.

Ya something is definitely up. Out last weekend, opened it up a few times. Sometimes at high speed it handles like a dream, other times it is two handed stearing as hard as you can pull till the throttle comes off again.

Grease the vertical steering shaft in the mid, i dont rememver the name for it, but on the mid section should be an upper and lower grease zirk. At worst take it apart and clean and regrease.
