I am trying to find a parts list with an exploded view of the controls on a 21 foot Subtracker Party Barge Signature Series. When the lever is pushed forward or back the boat does not move. There is a small hole in the lever that appears to have had a set screw in it. I have been to the local Suntracker dealer (Park Marina in Kennesaw Ga} but the parts man there said there was no way of cross referencing my boat ID to find out which control it has on it, so not knowing which control I have. It has 50HP Mercury Tracker 4 Stroke Big Foot. The ID number on the boat is BUJ07668H102. The boat was bought from a bank repo, so we do not have an owners manual and have not been able to find one. Any help from anyone as to which controls I have and a way to get an owners manual for this boat would be appreciated. I have bought the manula for the motor from Mercury. By the way I have also tried Bass Pro Shop in Ga with no luck.
Thanks, Raymond

I cant see it from here but they do use set screws. Go to your local autoparts store and get one. My bet is you have a Morse/Teleflex control. Pretty common on the Suntracker.

Geez -- setscrews are as common as nails and dirt. Any hardware store, home depot, lowes, had draws full of them.

Problem of just going and getting "THE" set screw: What size/thread count and is it METRIC???
Some people can just "eye" the threaded opening and tell is it a #6, #8, or #10.

Re: Suntracker Controls

So buy one or two of each. It's not as though these things cost $10 each (they are actually just a few cents). Look in your junk drawer for any small bolt. Test it for fit. If you don't find one, check other items in your garage and take a bolt from one of them to test for size. Then take it with you and buy the same size but in either a slotted or hex style, metric or SAE set screw. Don't make this such a big job. In the time it's taken you to give us the reasons why you can't figure this out, you could have been to the store and back several times in a trial and error mode and you too could tell the difference between #6, #8, #10 bolts. Most of the home improvement stores even have a try-out board that you can put a nut or bolt on to determine what size it is.
