Super Frustrated

Was working on the gimbal removal turn the wheel to remove the hinge pin but I guest I turn the wheel to much heard a pop sound in the steering wheel housing now steering wheel turns lose I think I broke something in the steering housing behind the dash I have a bayliner sierra 2252. any help is appreciated

Probably oughta count on gettin' a new Helm, 'n Cable Kit,.....

The price of one, or the other, ain't worth the difference to use the old parts,....
